Hampton Bay outdoor furniture can be an excellent option for your backyard because the brand uses high-quality materials backed by great warranties, and the furniture is affordably priced. The wide range of furniture options, styles, and colors available in the Hampton Bay furniture collections means that you should be able to find an item that is perfect for your outdoor needs.
#1 Hampton Bay uses high-quality frame materials
One of the primary things you need to look for in outdoor furniture is the quality of the frame materials. Luckily, Hampton Bay patio furniture is made with high-quality frame materials like all-weather resin wicker and powder-coated steel.
- All-weather resin wicker: You will find that Hampton Bay has many collections that have a frame material of all-weather resin wicker like the Cambridge, Rock Cliff, Beacon Park, and Devon Wood collections. It isn’t clear what type of resin is used to make its “all-weather resin wicker.” This is important as some resins are better than others, and we prefer to see HDPE as a wicker material because it is very durable and weather-resistant (Read more about all-weather wicker). Based on our review of the resin wicker furniture, it appears that the resin is a higher quality resin. Usually, low-quality resin wicker is flat and/or shiny on furniture. - Powder-coated steel: Nearly all Hampton Bay furniture options have powder-coated steel as a frame material (all-weather wicker furniture has this material as the inner frame). #2 Hampton Bay outdoor furniture has great outdoor fabric
Another key feature you should examine in your outdoor furniture purchase is the type of fabric used on the cushions. Fortunately, Hampton Bay patio cushions have some of the best outdoor materials on the market with Sunbrella and CushionGuard fabrics. On most of the collections, you will have the option to choose if you want the Hampton Bay cushions to have Sunbrella fabric or CushionGuard fabric.
- Sunbrella: One of the best fabrics available on the market is Sunbrella. Sunbrella has been manufacturing outdoor fabrics since the 1960s, and it has become one of the most popular outdoor fabrics known for high weather resistance and durability. You will also find that some Hampton Bay patio collections are made with sling. Sling is an excellent material for the outdoors, and in some cases, it can be more affordable than some outdoor patio furniture with cushions. We find that most of the sling is made from Textilene, a very durable and weather-resistant material. A big plus with sling is that water quickly passes through and quickly dries. #3 Hampton Bay cushions are very comfortable
One of the hardest things to evaluate when buying patio furniture online is if the cushions are comfortable or not. We find that the Hampton Bay cushions are very comfortable from our review and testing. What makes them comfortable is that many collections feature cushions greater than 3 inches thick. The cushion is made from a high-density foam wrapped in a batting that creates a smooth and consistent look and feel.
Although Hampton Bay cushions are wrapped in high-quality fabric like Sunbrella and CushionGuard that are designed to be water-resistant, rain and other moisture may penetrate through the material to the cushion in some cases (like a heavy downpour of rain). In this case, you may need to dry out the cushion for a day or two to remove all of the moisture.
#4 Hampton Bay patio furniture is reasonably priced
