It isn’t clear to us what type of resin is used to make its “all-weather resin wicker.” This is important as some resins are better than others, and we prefer to see HDPE as a wicker material because it is very durable and weather-resistant. Based on our review of the resin wicker furniture, it appears that the resin is a higher quality resin (usually low-quality resin wicker is flat and / or shiny on furniture; this doesn’t appear to be the case with this furniture), and it is likely some form of polyethylene (PE). The other main frame material is powder coated aluminum. We highly recommend aluminum because this is a very durable outdoor material, and it is naturally rust resistant (note: aluminum does not rust, but it can corrode in certain conditions, especially if it is not powder coated). Ashley Furniture states that its cushion foam material used in its Grasson Lane furniture collection is an “all-weather foam cushion core wrapped in soft polyester.” From our review, these cushions likely use a standard polyurethane cushion, and the polyester provides a smooth and comfortable wrap around the foam. As a result, the cushions are thick and comfy.

Ashley Furniture offers a 1-year limited warranty on its outdoor furniture. This is typically what we see as an industry average.

You only have 72 hours after delivery of an online outdoor furniture order to report if an item is delivered damaged, defective or if you are unhappy with it in any way to either have the item repaired, replaced, or returned.

Sun: Can Ashley Grasson Lane Outdoor Furniture be left out in the sun?
The powder coated aluminum and all-weather resin wicker frame materials used by Ashley Furniture in the Grasson Lane collection are all great UV-resistant materials. The sun and heat should not degrade or fade the aluminum. We are unsure of the exact resin used in the all-weather resin wicker. Some resins endure sun and heat better than others. Our review finds that this is likely a high-quality resin, so it should tolerate UV exposure reasonably well.
Ashley’s Nuvella fabric is designed to withstand UV exposure because it is a solution-dyed fabric. This means the fabric’s color is a part of the fabric, rather than simply applied on top of the fabric. As a result, the material is very fade-resistant.
Winter: Can Ashley Grasson Lane Outdoor Furniture be left out in the winter?
The frame materials of powder coated aluminum and all-weather resin wicker in Ashley’s Grasson Lane collection will probably endure mild winter conditions with little extra care.
